Band Sessions

Mic up, crank the amps and get ready to play!

All sessions take place during an evening on a weekly basis and over a 10-week term (3 terms a year). Each session lasts up to two hours with a maximum of 12 people.  Payment is spread out over the year and broken down to a set monthly fee. This saves you from having to pay a full-term fees up front. Each session is approximately £22, which covers a band mentor/tutor, music and venue costs. However, if you find the sessions are not for you, then we only ask for a month's notice period. BUT, we think you will love it!

Typical session:

  • Warm-up jam

  • Song prep and orientation of material

  • Performance workshop to hone musicianship skills

  • Full band rehearsals

  • Plan for the next session

Songs:

We cover some absolute classics, from the world of Rock, Blues, Funk, pop and more. We provide all the music which will be available to download from your account. You don't need to be able to read music, as they are in easy-to-follow PDF versions, so you can practice your parts at home in preparation for each session. This isn't homework... It's fun work!!

Expectation:

As we work through the term, the goal is to either work towards a performance of all the songs rehearsed, or a tight recording of some of the material. There will be plenty of opportunities to perform live in your local area, so the more confident you get, the more songs you will achieve. There is no end goal, as once you get the live performance bug, you won't stop there!
